WWF’s Earth Hour is a simple idea that’s quickly turned into a global phenomenon. Hundreds of millions of people turning off their lights for one hour, on the same night, all across the planet. It’s about appreciating the brilliant world we all share — and how we need to protect it. Not just for an hour a year, but every day.
The Earth Hour 2011 television commercial calls for people to switch off their lights for Earth Hour and take action ‘beyond the hour’. The ad represents the next phase for the annual ‘lights off’ event – encouraging individuals to take action in their daily lives, and highlighting how much can be achieved when people come together in this way.
