While Kew’s Kirstin Broome was up on the plinth in Trafalgar Square, raising awareness for the work of the Millennium Seed Bank, onlookers were asked what they would save.
Plant Hunter Carly introduces the Thinkers. The 7 to 8 year olds are the Thinkers, learning how to think critically. They are encouraged to reflect on their findings and pool their ideas. The children will explore how we use plants and investigate how they grow successfully.
The Seeds for Life project is a collaboration between Kew Garden’s Millenium Seedbank Bank and five Kenyan institutes with the aim of enhancing conservation in the region and encouraging sustainable use of native plants.
